Sauber takes first place in Hillcrest Youth Invite Posted on April 11, 2022 0 Stone Sauber Stone Sauber was crowned champion recently after winning this year’s Youth Invitational Bowling tournament by beating Jazalyn Worthington 150-123 in the finals at Hillcrest Lanes. Stone opened in the first frame in the championship match but came back strong by marking five out of the next six frames to take a comfortable lead going into the last few frames. This was Stone’s first championship in his young career. In the first match, Hudson Latimore converted a spilt in the 10th frame to beat Devon Jones 160-158. The second game saw Adam Hopkins strike on the first ball in the 10th frame to seal 151-145 the victory over Latimore and advance to the semi-final game. The semifinal match is where Sauber started his championship run by beating Hopkins 192-165. Awards were given out with Jazalyn Worthington taking High Game (208). High Series went to Sauber (685), Most Improved went to Abby Schlegel and the Sportsman award was given to Karyn Hopkins. The final standings were: 1- Stone Sauber, 2- Jazalyn Worthington, 3- Adam Hopkins, 4- Hudson Latimore, 5- Devon Jones, 6- Karyn Hopkins, 7-Jadalyn Worthington, 8-Anderson Latimore, 9- Hunter Richardson, 10- Abby Schlegel, 11- Mason Refner, 12- Makayla Hord.
