R’dale tops Ada in 4 sets Posted on October 1, 2024 0 MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale had a strong senior night effort, beating Ada 24-26, 25-15, 25-14, 25-17 in Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball play Monday night at Riverdale. “We played very well tonight,” Riverdale coach Megan Frisbie said. “It was senior night, and we had a fantastic turnout and got the ‘W’ for our seniors.” Shayla Newfer led the attack for the Falcons (7-11, 3-4 BVC) with 14 kills, while also serving up five aces and adding eight solo blocks. Carly Karcher reached double digits in kills with 10 and added six digs. Addie Farmer had seven digs also 20 assists on 71-of-71 setting. She also served four aces and added two blocks. Paige Courtad had three kills, eight assists and nine digs, and Regan Boutwell was strong on defense with 11 digs, with an additional two aces serving against the Bulldogs (9-10, 2-6 BVC). Brooklyn Andreasen had eight kills and seven blocks for Ada. Natilyn McClain had 16 digs, with Jaylin St. Laurent passing out 19 assists. Ada won the junior varsity match 25-17, 25-21.
