middle school – Ben Logan Posted on September 1, 2022 0 URBANA — The Ben Logan seventh grade volleyball team put up a good fight, but fell in two sets to Urbana Wednesday night, 25-27 and 17-25. Georgia Daniels had four kills and served three aces. Autumn Cline had three aces and three kills. Belle Hughes had three kills and a pair of aces. Nevaeh Fogle added three kills. The eighth graders had more success as they won a thrilling extended first set, 28-26 then blew it open in the second, 25-16. Storm LeVan had a team-high four aces and a kill. Lilly Kerns had three kills and an ace. Jaylynn Parker served three aces. Abby Vance closed with six kills and Avah Miller with three. —– BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan seventh grade football team blanked Bellefontaine 32-0 Wednesday behind the play of quarterback Wyatt Predmore. He threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns. He was very effective on the ground with 60 yards there and two more scores. Maddox Vermilion rushed for a score. Dylan Tracey and Layton Watkins caught the receiving touchdowns. Tracey and Parker Yelton both had seven tackles, leading the charge for the Raider defense. The eighth grade Raiders also won 32-0. Soli Hughes tossed three scores and threw for 189 yards. Andrew Frederick, Alex Hassle and Brandon Heater each caught a touchdown. Hassle provided 103 yards on the ground and another score. Everett Clapsaddle and Jordan Pender both tallied five tackles on defense.
