KHS summer football camp slated

The major objective of the 2024 Kenton High School Summer Football Camp is to teach and develop proper football techniques, according to coach Zach Turner.

“We will introduce campers to drills that will help each camper improve their speed, strength, agility, and power,” he said.

The camp will be staffed by the Kenton varsity coaching staff, current players and former players.

This will be a non-contact football camp. The major emphasis will be on football fundamentals and proper techniques for offense, defense, and the kicking game.

“We will also teach proper running techniques. Heavy emphasis will be on the passing game,” Turner said. “We believe that we can accomplish these objectives by teaching each participant the basic skills of their position.

Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt, along with lunch each day. The camp will be held at the Atheltic Building practice fields

There will be three sessions of camp this summer:

Session Il – ($20) — May 21, 23, 24 (for students entering grades 9-12) from 4-8 p.m.

Session Il – ($20) – May 28-30 (for students entering grades 7-8) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Session Ill – ($20) – June 3-6 (for students entering grades K-6) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

There are two steps to complete. The first is the permission form. The second is the payment. Offline checks may be made payable to Kenton City Schools and returned to:
