Kenton hit the ball hard and got the bats going, but didn’t make enough plays defensively in a 6-4 Western Buckeye League baseball loss Wednesday to Lima Shawnee.

The Indians led 3-2 after one inning and added one in the third and two in the fifth for the 2-run victory. Kenton scored once in the second and third innings.

Luke Leffler and Anthony Hunt provided the offense for the Wildcats. Hunt had a hit and two RBIs. Leffler tripled, doubled, scored twice and drove in a run. Kade Smith had a hit and an RBI. Grady Kleman-Beazley doubled, singled and scored a run. Dawson Miller doubled and scored.

Kleman-Beazley tossed five innings and gave up four hits and six runs (two earned) with four strikeouts. Miller pitched the other two frames and fanned three with just two hits allowed.
