Area volleyball players get All-NWCC honors

Upper Scioto Valley’s Brielle Cotterman was a first-team All-Northwest Central Conference volleyball selection, as released Thursday. 

Upper Scioto Valley’s Nevaeh Lowery and Sydney Christensen were second-team, as well as Hardin Northern’s Lainey Thomas. 

Thomas, a sophomore outside hitter, finished the year with 320 digs, 249 receptions, 133 points, 88 kills, 32 aces and 26 assists. She had a 96% serve rate and a 90% serve receive rate.

Earning honorable mentions were Ridgemont’s Amiah Jones and Lauren Wingfield, Hardin Northern’s Makenna Eibling and Kendall Frank, and Upper Scioto Valley’s Shalyn Lawrence and Bailey Coate. 

Frank, a freshman setter, went for 405 assists, 219 digs, 100 points, 51 kills and 36 aces. She had a 98% setting rate and an 86% serve rate. 

Eibling, a senior libero, had 515 receptions with an 86% serve receive rate. She also had 292 digs, 128 points, 19 assists, 17 aces and a 93% serve rate.
