Author, illustrator shares insights with Hardin Northern students Posted on April 17, 2023 0 Courtnee Morris Hardin Northern class of 2002 graduate, Courtnee Morris, visited HN students on Friday. He is a published author and illustrator of multiple children’s books and a singer and songwriter of children’s songs. During a whole-elementary assembly, Morris inspired students to be creative and to find ideas wherever they can. He then read the students his new book that has not yet been published. Morris announced that he is holding a competition – three students’ elephants that they design will be featured in this new book when it gets published. Later in the day he visited classrooms and met with each grade level on a more personal level. He gave students more insight as to how he comes up with material. Morris talked to students about the importance of the editing process, and he even showed some of his mistakes and how they have been resolved over time in his books.
