It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sonya Jeanne Parsell Van Atta, age 83, who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
To honor Sonya’s remarkable life and the indelible impact she made on those around her, a “Celebration of Life” tribute will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 12:30 PM in the Sanctuary of the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, Ohio. Following the service, all are invited to gather in the Fellowship Hall for food, stories, and the sharing of memories that celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Fund of the American Brain Foundation. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unyielding strength. Sending hugs and kisses to heaven!
