The Hardin County Fair will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 8 with opening day being Veterans Day.
The flag raising will begin at 1 p.m. and the opening ceremony will start shortly thereafter.
Tickets for Veterans Day will be available in the Veterans Service Office at the courthouse from now through Friday, Sept. 4 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Proof of veteran status is required, such as a DD-214 (discharge) or Hardin County Veterans ID card or VA ID card.
On Sept. 8, opening day tickets will be available at the fairgrounds front gate starting at 7 a.m. The same proof of veteran status will be required. Questions may be directed to the Veteran Service Office at 419-674-2219.
Any veteran or veterans organization wishing to help man the veterans booth are asked to contact the Veterans Service Office. Donations are welcome.
