Riverdale grad killed in single-vehicle crash

FOREST — A 2023 Riverdale High School graduate was killed Sunday when the car he was driving crashed into a tree near Forest.

Chase Clark, 18 of Arlington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident early Sunday afternoon.

According to a report from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 12:14 p.m. reporting the crash at 18689 TR 22, Forest.

Deputies discovered a pickup truck driven by Clark had been traveling west on Township Road 22 when it left the south side of the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Deputies were assisted by the Jackson Forest Fire Department and Jackson Forest EMS, the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, Forest Police Department and Osborn Towing and Recovery Services.

In memory of Clark, the Riverdale School District announced on Facebook that several tributes will take place this week at home Falcon soccer matches.

There will be a celebration of his life, including releasing of balloons. Clark’s jersey number “22” will be painted on the field and there will be a moment of silence prior to each match.

Falcon soccer alumni players will be able to sign a soccer ball that will be presented to Clark’s family.
