Changes to fair flower show Posted on August 4, 2015 0 The Hardin County Garden Clubs would like to call to the attention of the public the changes that have been made to the flower show format. The first flower show, which runs from Tuesday, Sept. 8 until the evening of Thursday, Sept. 10, will feature the Hardin County Rose Show as in past years. Entries in the rose show will be released on Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. In addition to the rose show, many classes have been moved from the second show to the first. The moved classes include Outdoor Potted Plants, Hosta, Herbs, Foliage Plant, Flowering Plant, Grasses, Indoor plants, African Violets and the Adult Fairy Garden. These classes will stay on display for the entire run of the fair and be released on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. All other classes will be in the second flower show beginning on Friday, Sept. 11 and released on Sunday, Sept. 13. In addition, the second show Junior Division 979, Class 6, should read “Junior Fairy Garden”. In the Garden Booths By Hardin County Garden Clubs, Division 968, there is an error. The phrase (Not hand written) should read (May be Hand Written). Deadline for open class entries in the flower show is Friday, Aug. 21, 2015.
