LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that “Sealed Bids” will be received on or before the 22nd day of April 2025, at 11:00 A.M., in the Office of the Hardin County Commissioners, One Courthouse Square, Suite 100, Kenton, Ohio 43326, for the furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials necessary to complete the project known as “County and Township Asphalt Overlay Project”, and at said time and place, publicly opened and read aloud.
Contract documents, bid sheets, and specifications can be obtained from Luke Underwood at
Engineer’s Office, 1040 W. Franklin Street, Kenton, Ohio at no charge. Telephone (419)674-2222. PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO PICK UP THE BID DOCUMENTS.
Bids must be sealed and marked “County and Township Asphalt Overlay Project”.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal(s) and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used. The owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than November 21, 2025.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hardin County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration.
The Hardin County Commissioners and County Engineer reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and or all bids.
