VAN WERT — Van Wert defeated Kenton 4-1 in a Western Buckeye League tennis match on Tuesday afternoon. Mykaela Schriber earned the lone victory for the Wildcats, topping the Cougars’ Allie Morrow 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles match.
LIMA — The Ben Logan volleyball team defeated Lima Central Catholic in four games 26-28, 25-22, 25-14, 25-21 on Tuesday night. Sarah Van Dyke led the way for the Raiders with 20 kills, 3 aces and a block.
MILBURY — Riverdale scored three goals in the first half on the way to a 4-0 win over Lake in a non-league boys soccer match on Tuesday. Netting goals for the Falcons were Ryder Egbert, Brayden Courtney, Coby Miller and Jackson Clark.
DEFIANCE — The Kenton girls soccer team improved to 7-0 on the season with a 3-1 victory over Western Buckeye League foe Defiance on Tuesday night. Addison Modd, Jazmin Mendez and Hannah Holland netted goals for the Wildcats, who are now 2-0 in WBL action.
DEFIANCE — Defiance edged Kenton 190-192 in a Western Buckeye League golf match on Tuesday. Ethan Wirble led the Wildcats with a 44.
BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys golf team avenged an earlier loss by defeating Urbana 174-185 at Liberty Hills on Tuesday. Raiders were led by sophomore Ethan Ricketts with a 35.
BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls golf team won a quad match over Anna, Riverside and Graham at Cherokee Hills on Tuesday night. The Raiders, who shot a team score of 182, were led by Mailiis Simovart’s 38. Sydney Wesson added a 40, Leeah Valentine a 48 and Willow Titus a 56.
Kenton netted three penalty kicks on the way to a 4-1 victory over Riverdale in a physical non-league soccer matchup on Saturday night. The Wildcats improve to 6-0 on the season, while Riverdale is now 2-2-1.
Led by medalist Brady Hipsher, Upper Scioto Valley took first in the 10th annual Bill McClain Family High School Invitational held at Memorial Park Golf Course on Saturday. USV had a team score of 182, followed by Kenton with a 185, Ada with a 202, Riverdale at 209 and Ridgemont at 227.
COLDWATER — Addy Modd and Haley Hunt both scored goals in the second half as Kenton came back from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat Coldwater 3-2 in a non-league soccer match played in a heavy rain on Saturday. The Wildcats improve to 6-0 on the season.
