McGUFFEY — Jenna Manns set a school record with seven three-pointers and Kenton placed five players in double figures as the Wildcats ripped Upper Scioto Valley 86-20 in a non-league girls basketball game on Tuesday. Manns had a game-high 23 points for the Wildcats, who led 27-2 after eight minutes and 48-10 by halftime in cruising to their first victory in six games this season.
The Kenton High School bowling teams dropped matches to River Valley on Tuesday night. River Valley won the boys match 2,340-2,121.
St. Marys swept Kenton in a Western Buckeye League dual swim meet on Tuesday night at the Hardin County YMCA. In the girls meet, the Roughriders nipped Kenton 73-69.
BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys bowling team defeated previously unbeaten Jonathan Alder 2,647-2,614 in a Central Buckeye Conference bowling match on Tuesday. Tyler Nicholas led the Raiders with games of 200 and 259 for a 459 series.
HARROD — Allen East outscored Hardin Northern in all four quarters on the way to a 46-23 victory in a non-league girls basketball game on Tuesday night. The host Mustangs led 10-3 after eight minutes, 18-8 at halftime and 32-20 after three quarters before putting the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Kenton eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Riverdale 48-36. Colby Quay led the Wildcats with 18 points, while Tyson Lawrence chipped in with 11 points and Kooper Johnston had 9 points. Camden Hicks added 4 points.
RAWSON — Faith Jenkins had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Ridegmont to a 54-47 win over Cory-Rawson in a non-league girls basketball win on Monday night. Leading 34-33 after three quarters, the Gophers pulled away with a 20-14 advantage over the final eight minutes.
ADA — Van Buren outscored Ada in all four quarters on the way to a 65-26 victory in a non-league girls basketball contest on Monday night. The visiting Knights jumped ahead 17-5 after eight minutes and 32-7 by halftime before outscoring Ada 21-9 in the third quarter.
Upper Scioto Valley defeated Ridgemont 39-26 in an eighth grade boys basketball contest on Monday. JD Haimerl netted 10 points to lead the Gophers.
