Gophers fall to Lehman

MOUNT VICTORY — Lehman Catholic swept Ridgemont 25-4, 25-20, 25-15 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball match on Thursday night. Shaylee McGrath had 7 kills, 2 blocks and 3 aces to lead the way for the Gophers, who fall to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the NWCC.

Kenton Ridge downs BL

SPRINGFIELD — Kenton Ridge defeated Ben Logan in for games 25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 28-26 in a Central Buckeye conference division cross-over volleyball matchup on Thursday night. The Raiders fall to 10-4 on the season.

Ada suffers loss to VB

VAN BUREN — Van Buren shut out Ada 3-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association boys soccer matchup on Thursday night. Drew Hadley had 14 saves for the Bulldogs, who fall to 5-3 on the season and 2-1 in the NCOSA. Ada hosts Bluffton on Tuesday.

Rams, Gophers looking for second win

Upper Scioto Valley will look to snap a two-game losing streak when it travels to Ridgeway for a Northwest Central Conference contest against the Gophers. USV (1-3) suffered a 12-6 setback against Waynesfield-Goshen last Friday, but it’s a game the Rams would like to have back as a fumble recovery that was returned by the Tigers for the go-ahead score proved to be their undoing.

Hipsher leads Rams to NWCC golf title

SIDNEY — Led by Brady Hipsher’s 86, the Upper Scioto Valley golf team shot a team score of 346 to win the Northwest Central Conference golf tournament on Wednesday. The Rams topped second place Lehman Catholic by 40 strokes. Waynesfield-Goshen was third at 388.

BL golfers take 2nd in Mad River Division

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys golf team shot a 370 to take second in the Mad River Division at the CBC Tournament at Liberty Hills on Wednesday. Ethan Ricketts led the team with an 85 followed by Garrett Allen with an 88, Bryce Loomis with a 98 and Kaiden Weaks with a 99.
