RIDGEWAY — The Upper Scioto Valley Rams struck early and often against Ridgemont in Friday night’s contest with Quinn Sanders leading the way, scoring a combined six touchdowns for his team to help take down the Gophers 44-6.

ADA — Facing a 36-0 hole after the first quarter and a 57-0 halftime deficit, the Ada Bulldogs were never able to find their footing, losing to the Spencerville Bearcats 69-16 in Friday night’s Northwest Conference matchup. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-3 overall, 1-1 in the NWC. Spencerville climbs to 4-1, 2-0.

McGUFFEY — The Upper Scioto Valley Junior High football team defeated Ridgemont 14-8 in a Northwest Central Conference battle on Thursday. The Rams’ offense was led by Tage Dye, who ran for 56 yards and scored a touchdown.

The Kenton boys soccer team did pretty much anything it wanted to Thursday night as the Wildcats blitzed Van Wert 7-0 in Western Buckeye League action. Luke Woodruff had three goals and Landon Bartlett added two goals to lead the way for the Wildcats, who controlled the run of play from beginning to end and led 4-0 by halftime.

ADA — Lima Central Catholic defeated Ada 25-13, 20-25, 25-18, 25-15 in a non-league volleyball matchup on Thursday night. Megan Light had 14 kills, while Raina England added 6 kills and Miranda Wills chipped in with 4 spikes to lead the Bulldogs at the net.

LIMA — Hardin Northern topped Perry in three games 29-27, 25-21, 25-14 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball matchup on Thursday night. Rylie Bame had a huge night for the Polar Bears, amassing 26 kills, while also recording 4 aces, 8 digs and 2 block assists.
