ARLINGTON — Led by Brady Hipsher’s 75, the Upper Scioto Valley golf team finished second at the Division III golf sectional at Sycamore Springs Golf Course on Thursday. The Rams, who had a team score of 337, finished behind Van Buren, which ended up with a score of 318.

KALIDA — Kenton High School was not able to advance to the Division II district golf tournament as a team on Thursday, but the Wildcats will be represented individually by Rocco Longbrake next week at Red Hawk Run in Findlay.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan volleyball team avenged an earlier loss by defeating North Union 25-21, 25-13, 17-25, 25-21 in Central Buckeye Conference action on Thursday night. The Raiders, who improve to 13-4 overall and 5-1 in CBC play, move into a tie for first place in the Mad River Division.

The Kenton girls soccer team lost its second Western Buckeye League contest this week, falling to Ottawa-Glandorf 5-2 on Thursday night. The Wildcats, who received a pair of goals from Hannah Holland, fall to 8-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the WBL.

ADA — Jackson Clark scored the only goal of the game unassisted as Riverdale edged Ada 1-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons outshot Ada 3-2 in the game as Ethan Shane had two saves for Riverdale.

PAULDING — Ada lost its second Northwest Conference volleyball match in three nights, falling to Paulding in five games 21-25, 25-21, 17-25, 26-24, 15-6 on Thursday night. Megan Light had a huge night at the net, recording 27 kills and 4 blocks.

MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont got past Perry in four games 25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22 in Northwest Central Conference volleyball action on Thursday night. The Gophers improve to 6-5 on the season and 2-6 in the NWCC

LIMA — Hardin Northern swept Lima Temple Christian 25-12, 25-21, 25-11 in a Northwest Central Conference volleyball matchup on Thursday night. Rylie Bame had another big night at the net for the Polar Bears, recording 17 kills and 3 solo blocks.

VAN WERT — Van Wert swept Kenton 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 in a Western Buckeye League volleyball match on Thursday. The Wildcats fall to 2-9 overall and 0-5 in WBL play. Van Wert is now 9-5 and 3-2.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Haley Frey had two goals to lead the way as the Riverdale girls soccer team defeated Ada 6-0 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match on Wednesday night. The Falcons, who led 2-0 at halftime, also received goals from Danielle Searfoss, Hanna Briedenbach, Katelyn Hildebrand and Paige Rothlisberger.
