LIMA — Perry jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on the way to a 68-39 non-league boys basketball win over Ada on Saturday. The host Commodores led 26-13 eight minutes into the game and 32-20 at halftime before putting the game out of reach with a 23-9 third quarter advantage.

Lady Raiders balanced in win over Urbana

BELLEFONTAINE — Savannah Pavoni led three Ben Logan players in double figures with 14 points as the Lady Raiders pulled away for a 52-43 Central Buckeye Conference victory over Urbana on Saturday night. Lynzie Cronkleton added 13 points and Pamela Kelly chipped in with 10 for the Raiders, who led 16-5 after one quarter and 24-21 at halftime before outscoring the Hillclimbers 28-22 in the second half.

Lady Gophers suffer setback to Arcadia

MOUNT VICTORY — Arcadia outscored Ridgemont in all four quarters to pull away for a 70-44 non-league girls basketball victory on Saturday afternoon. The Gophers, who fall to 1-6 on the season, trailed 23-17 after eight minutes before being outscored 18-5 in the second quarter to fall behind 41-22 at the intermission.

DOLA — After being tied with Hardin Northern at 13 midway through the first quarter, Upper Scioto Valley stepped up its game and went on a 14-0 run just before the end of the quarter. The streak was enough to give the Rams the separation they needed, and they would hold their lead and see out the remainder of Friday’s boys basketball contest, earning the 72-48 win.

Falcons get BVC win over Leipsic

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Leading by just two at the half, the Riverdale Falcons outscored Leipsic 14-3 in the third, giving them some breathing room to pull away for the 57-41 boys basketball win on Friday. The Falcons improve to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the Blanchard Valley Conference. The Vikings drop to 2-2, 1-1.

Mustangs edge Ada

HARROD — Ada watched a 15-6 first quarter lead over Allen East slip away in the second quarter of Friday night’s Northwest Conference boys basketball game. With the game tied after three quarters, the Bulldogs were outscored 14-9 in the fourth, falling to the Mustangs 45-40.

Ben Logan gets past Graham in overtime

BELLEFONTAINE — Down 14 to Graham, a fourth-quarter comeback by the Benjamin Logan Raiders saw them tie the contest at 62 at the end of regulation. The Raiders managed to complete the comeback by edging the Falcons 8-7 in overtime, earning the 70-69 Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball victory.
