Monday Fall League – The team of David Bettinger, Chris Rogers, Cole Weyant, Rick Brown and Tami McFadden is in first place with a 17 under. In second place is the team of Brad Hanna, DeWayne Spencer, Jeff Butcher, Tom Taylor and Joni Rensing with a 16 under.

Van Wert overpowers Wildcats 60-33

Coming into Friday night’s game against Van Wert, Kenton coach Brent Fackler knew that whichever team was able to control the line of scrimmage was going to be the one most likely to come out with a positive outcome on the scoreboard. Unfortunately for the Wildcat coach and his team, it was the Cougars that dominated the line on both sides of the ball as they accumulated 369 rushing yards, while pushing Kenton back for minus 28 yards on the ground in pulling away for a 60-33 victory in the Western Buckeye League contest.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale struggled to contain the speed and athleticism of Liberty-Benton quarterback Marshall Rose, who scored five touchdowns and ran for 300-plus yards in Friday night’s 34-7 football win for the Eagles. The loss drops Riverdale to .500 at 3-3 overall, 2-2 in the Blanchard Valley Conference. Liberty-Benton improves to 2-4, 2-2.

Lehman Catholic rolls past Polar Bears

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic built a 31-0 lead by halftime on the way to a 41-7 victory over Hardin Northern in a Northwest Central Conference football matchup on Friday night. The balanced Cavaliers finished with 198 yards rushing and 259 yards through the air.

Comets blitz past Ridgemont, 72-21

LARUE — Elgin pulled away for a 72-21 victory over Ridgemont in a Northwest Central Conference football game on Friday night. The Gophers, who fall to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 in the NWCC, were led by Tyrese Patterson, who had 18 carries for 112 yards and three touchdowns.
