NORTH BALTIMORE — By halftime in Friday night’s contest between Riverdale and North Baltimore, the visiting Falcons had already amounted a 43-27 lead. In the third quarter, the Falcons outscored the Tigers 26-13, cruising in the fourth to an 86-56 win in Friday’s boys basketball contest.

McGUFFEY — Holding on to just a 9-point lead after three quarters, Upper Scioto Valley outscored Ridgemont 19-8 in the final quarter, taking down the Gophers 64-44 in Friday night’s inter-county boys basketball contest.

FREMONT — A 10-point first-half deficit proved too much for the Hardin Northern Polar Bears to overcome, falling to Fremont St. Joseph 68-47 in Friday’s non-league boys basketball contest. The loss puts the Polar Bears at 0-5 on the season, while the Crimson Streaks climb to 4-4.

BELLEFONTAINE — Down 43-39 after three quarters, the Benjamin Logan Raiders outscored Northwestern 21-9 in the fourth to earn the 60-52 boys basketball victory on Friday.

RAWSON — If there’s one person that the Riverdale girls basketball team has relied on this season, it’s senior forward Bry Vanden Bosch. In the midst of another slow start, a start in which the Falcons were trailing by 11 points early in the first quarter, the Falcons closed the half on a 14-point run, a run in which Vanden Bosch scored 11 of the Falcons’ 19 points the rest of the half.

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont took an early lead and cruised from there on the way to a 64-39 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in a Northwest Central Conference girls basketball game on Thursday. The Gophers, who led 16-3 after eight minutes and 30-12 at halftime, stretched their lead to 48-24 going into the fourth quarter.

DELPHOS — Delphos Jefferson jumped ahead early and never looked back in a 62-25 victory over Ada in a Northwest Conference girls basketball game on Thursday night. The host Wildcats led 23-6 after eight minutes and 37-8 by halftime before extending the advantage to 52-16 going in the fourth quarter.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan struggled on the offensive end of the floor Wednesday in it’s CBC game against Indian Lake. The Raiders were sharp on the defensive end of the floor however, holding the Lakers to seven points or less in all four quarters on the way to a 36-20 victory over their Logan County rivals.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley looks to get back on a winning track when it hosts Ridgemont in a Northwest Central conference boys basketball game on Friday night. The Rams (3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the NWCC ) won two straight games before an 84-70 loss to Shawnee last Saturday. In that contest, Wayne Lowery led the Rams with a season-high 21 points.

ADA — Cory-Rawson held off a second half rally by Ada for a 51-44 non-conference boys basketball win on Wednesday night. The visiting Hornets led 11-6 after eight minutes and 23-15 at halftime before Ada outscored them 19-13 in the third quarter to pull within 36-34 going into the final stanza.
