ADA — Lincolnview outscored Ada by double-digits in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 52-20 Northwest Conference girls basketball victory on Thursday night. The visitors jumped ahead 16-5 after eight minutes and 30-9 by halftime before putting the game away with a 15-6 advantage in the third eight minutes.

Wildcats to host state-ranked Titans

Kenton will try to play the role of spoiler when it hosts league-leading Ottawa-Glandorf in a Western Buckeye League boys basketball contest on Friday night. The Titans enter the game at 14-2 overall and 6-0 in WBL play and hold a one-game league over Shawnee in the league standings. They are ranked No. 5 in the most recent Associated Press Division III poll.

Bruns leads ONU men to OAC win

ADA — Senior Ryan Bruns posted his 23rd career double-double, leading the Ohio Northern men's basketball team to a 75-70 victory over Otterbein on Wednesday night. The Polar Bears improve to 5-17 overall and are 1-14 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals fall to 6-15, 3-12. Bruns dominated inside throughout the contest, finishing with 33 points and 12 rebounds.

Lady Raiders get past NW for 14th victory

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan jumped ahead early and then hung on the rest of the way for a 43-37 Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball victory over Springfield Northwestern on Wednesday night. The Lady Raiders led 14-8 after eight minutes and 21-15 at halftime before being outscored 22-21 in the second 16 minutes.

Quick start propels Ridgedale over HN

MORRAL — Ridgedale outscored Hardin Northern in all four quarters on the way to a 74-59 non-conference boys basketball victory over the Polar Bears on Wednesday night. Hardin Northern (4-13) fell behind 25-15 after one quarter before being outscored 14-12 in the second quarter and 20-18 in the third quarter.

Dirksen surpasses 1,000 points in ONU’s loss

WESTERVILLE — Senior guard Jenna Dirksen became the 16th player in Ohio Northern women's basketball history to surpass the 1,000 career point threshold in a 61-39 conference loss to Otterbein on Wednesday night. Dirksen entered Wednesday's contest needing just one point to join Ohio Northern's 1,000-Point Club.

BL girls bowling gets win

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan boys bowling team defeated Kenton Ridge 2,531-2,292 in a Central Buckeye Conference match on Wednesday night. Tyler Nicholas rolled games of 214 and 184 for a 398 series to lead the Raiders.
