Polar Bears blast W-G

DOLA — Hardin Northern took control with a four-run second inning and was never challenged on the way to a 12-2 six-inning win over Waynesfield-Goshen in a Northwest Central Conference baseball game on Tuesday afternoon. The game was tied 1-1 after one inning before the Polar Bears scored four times in the second frame and two more times in the third.

Ada tennis defeats Shawnee

LIMA — Ada swept all three singles matches on the way to a 3-2 victory over Lima Shawnee in a non-league tennis match on Tuesday afternoon. For the Bulldogs, Cade Mullins topped C. Schaaf 6-0, 6-1; Isaac Spar was a 6-2, 6-0 winner over C. Paysen and Miranda Wills was a 6-1, 6-0 victor over G. Rutter.

Host Polar Bears second in home triangular

DOLA — The Hardin Northern Polar Bears boys and girls track teams each placed second in their home tri-meet on Tuesday, with Arlington taking the top spot and Lima Temple Christian finishing third. The Polar Bear boys recorded 61.5 points, finishing behind Arlington’s 98.5, while Hardin Northern’s girls finished with 56 points, second to Arlington’s 100.

Arcadia smacks Bulldogs

ARCADIA — After hanging close with Arcadia for two innings, the Ada Bulldogs gave up 10 runs in four innings, falling to the Redskins 12-2 in Tuesday’s non-league baseball contest. The Bulldogs finished the contest with two runs on five hits.
