Kenton boys to host sectional title contest

The Kenton boys soccer team played their final home game of the regular season on Monday night when the Wildcats topped Wapakoneta 1-0 in a Western Buckeye League matchup. The Wildcats will get one more game at Merold Field this fall, however, as they received the top-seed in the Elida sectional tournament draw and will play host to either Lima Bath or Upper Sandusky in a sectional final contest at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Raiders lose to NW, 2-1

SPRINGFIELD — Northwestern edged Ben Logan 2-1 in a Central Buckeye Conference boys soccer match on Monday afternoon. George Kern scored the Raiders’ goal on a double assist from Rylan Studebaker and Dylan Welch.
