Bay Village ends Wildcats’ season

SANDUSKY — The Kenton soccer team kept the game on an even pitch early in its Division II regional championship game against Bay Village on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats could not net an early goal though and after Bay’s Cade Gergye powered past the Kenton defense and sent the ball past Wildcat keeper Luke Woodruff nine minutes into the game, the field was tilted toward the Rockets over the final 70 minutes as they cruised to a 3-0 victory at Sandusky Perkins High School.

Raider football players receive CBC awards

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan had a number of players recognized on the Central Buckeye Conference’s 2018 All-Mad River Division football team that was released over the weekend. Among the Raiders recognized were offensive linemen Bryce Schmidt, wide receiver Ben Whitten, defensive lineman Dalton Rockhold and linebacker Trace Tevis, who all received first team.

Ben Logan to hold fall sports banquets

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan High School will hold its fall sports banquet for athletes that participated in cross country, golf and soccer at 6 p.m. today in the high school commons. A banquet for football, cheerleading and volleyball will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 in the commons.
