MOUNT BLANCHARD — After surrendering a halftime lead to Bucyrus, the Riverdale Falcons regained their momentum in the fourth quarter and completed the comeback with a 59-53 boys basketball win on Saturday. The non-league victory lifts the Falcons to 5-4 overall, while the Redmen fall to 1-8.

ADA — Allen East had a quick start on the way to a 59-39 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in the championship game of the girls Border Battle Classic at Ada on Saturday night. The Rams, who won their first game of the season by beating Ada in the semifinals on Thursday, fell behind 17-4 eight minutes into the game and 32-12 by halftime before playing the Mustangs even in the second half.

ADA —Upper Scioto Valley got off to a fast start and never looked back on the way to a 65-33 rout of Allen East in the boys championship game of the Border Battle Classic on Saturday night. The Rams, who won the tournament for the second year in a row, led 18-2 eight minutes into the game and 34-12 at halftime before coasting through the second half.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan girls swim team placed 4th out of 14 teams, scoring 60 points and the boys team placed fifth with 31 points at the Bellefontaine Invitational at the Hilliker YMCA on Saturday.

SUNBURY — A second half rally came up short as Ben Logan fell to Big Walnut 42-37 in a non-league girls basketball game on Saturday. The Raiders trailed 14-6 after one quarter and 27-17 at halftime before outscoring the hosts 20-15 in the second half.

ADA — Ada outscored Waynesfield-Goshen in three of four quarters on the way to a 61-44 win in the consolation game of the Border Battle Classic on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs, who improve to 2-8 on the season, led 13-6 eight minutes into the game and 26-21 at halftime before outscoring the Tigers 20-14 in the third quarter and 15-9 in the fourth stanza.

ADA — The Ada girls basketball team struggled to put the ball in the basket as the Bulldogs fell to Waynesfield-Goshen 44-25 in the consolation game of the Border Battle Classic on Saturday afternoon. Ada, which made just four free throws in the game, trailed 10-2 eight minutes in and 15-7 at halftime before being outscored 14-4 in the third quarter.

DOLA — Pandora-Gilboa outscored the Hardin Northern girls by four points in the second quarter and that proved to be the difference as the Rockets held off the Polar Bears 29-25 on Saturday. Quinn Stewart-Evans tallied 11 points to lead Hardin Northern, which drops to 2-7.

ADA — A three-pointer by Ada’s Phillip Coulson one minute into the contest was all Upper Scioto Valley would surrender in the first 12 minutes of Friday night’s Border Battle semifinal contest hosted by the Bulldogs. The defensive stand allowed the Rams offense to stretch out a 30-0 run on their way to a 58-33 boys basketball victory.
