Lady Raiders blitzed by Tecumseh, 102-31

NEW CARLISLE — Tecumseh got off to a 15-point lead after one quarter and built on its lead from there in amassing a 102-32 girls basketball victory over Ben Logan on Wednesday night. The Raiders, who were outscored 60-9 over the middle two quarters, fall to 2-2 on the season.

RIDGEWAY — The Ridgemont eighth grade boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season, defeating Vanlue 46-28 on Wednesday night. Weston McKinley netted 17 points to lead the Gophers, while Jeb McGue chipped in with 10 points and JD Haimerl and Wade Gamble added 8 points each.

ADA — Ugly and not pretty. Those were the words Hardin Northern girls basketball coach Brady Mast used to describe his team’s 34-22 victory over Ada on Tuesday night. The Polar Bear mentor will take wins any way they come though after losing his top scorer, Ashton Dye, for the season for a second year in a row due to an injury suffered in the preseason.

St. Johns gets past USV

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley could not keep pace with Delphos St. Johns in the second half as the Blue Jays pulled away for a 60-51 victory in a non-league boys basketball game on Tuesday night. The game was tied 12-12 after eight minutes and Delphos St. Johns led 25-24 at halftime before outscoring USV 17-11 in the third eight minutes to grab a 42-35 lead going into the final stanza.
