ST. PARIS — Ben Logan started strong on the way to a 51-31 victory over Graham in a Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball game on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders, paced by Olivia Roose’s 19 points and Nya Worrell’s 14 points, led 14-4 eight minutes into the game and 32-10 at halftime on the way to the victory.

DAYTON — The Ben Logan girls swim team was sixth of 19 teams, while the boys were 10th of 19 teams at the Shawnee Invitational on Saturday at Wright State University. Top individual placers for the Lady Raiders were Macy Arn in the 100 fly and 100 free, Breanna Heath in the 100 breast and Annika Simovart in the 200 IM and 100 free.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Trailing by just four points to Arlington after three quarters, the Riverdale Falcons suffered a slow start in the fourth quarter by giving up a 16-3 run and putting the game out of reach, falling to the Red Devils 67-54.

When Defiance came to town on Friday night, the Kenton basketball team hadn’t taken the court for a game since a win over Marion Harding 14 days earlier. Even so, Wildcat mentor Matt McCullough would not use that as an excuse after Defiance dissected his team inside and out on the way to an 72-54 Western Buckeye League win over his team on Friday night.

RICHWOOD — Building a 21-12 halftime lead over North Union, the Benjamin Logan Raiders kept their nine-point lead after three quarters and looked to finish off the win in the fourth.

TOLEDO — Hardin Northern outscored Monclova Christian by 10 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 45-33 victory in boys basketball action on Friday night.

TOLEDO — Hardin Northern took control early and never looked back as the Lady Polar Bears cruised past Monclova Christian 63-8 on Friday, The Polar Bears cruised to a 27-4 lead after eight minutes and a 38-5 lead by halftime before outscoring the Thunder 18-0 in the third quarter.

Vandalia Butler took a double-digit lead by halftime and it proved to be enough as the Aviators went on to a 53-40 victory over Ben Logan in non-league girls basketball action on Thursday night.

MOUNT VICTORY — Lincolnview pulled away from Ridgemont in the second half on the way to a 54-46 victory over the Gophers in a non-league girls basketball game on Thursday night. Ridgemont kept the game close throughout the first half as it led 17-16 midway through the second quarter on a basket by Faith Jenkins.

Defiance outscored Kenton in each of the first three quarters to grab an insurmountable lead on the way to a 60-48 victory over the Wildcats in a Western Buckeye League girls basketball game on Thursday night. The visiting Bulldogs led just 13-12 after one quarter before outscoring Kenton 19-11 in the second quarter and 19-9 in the third quarter to take a 51-32 advantage into the final eight minutes.
