Lady Raiders remain unbeaten in CBC play

ST. PARIS — Ben Logan started strong on the way to a 51-31 victory over Graham in a Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball game on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders, paced by Olivia Roose’s 19 points and Nya Worrell’s 14 points, led 14-4 eight minutes into the game and 32-10 at halftime on the way to the victory.

Ben Logan girls swim to 6th at Shawnee Invite

DAYTON — The Ben Logan girls swim team was sixth of 19 teams, while the boys were 10th of 19 teams at the Shawnee Invitational on Saturday at Wright State University. Top individual placers for the Lady Raiders were Macy Arn in the 100 fly and 100 free, Breanna Heath in the 100 breast and Annika Simovart in the 200 IM and 100 free.

Defiance pulls away in second quarter to win over Wildcats

When Defiance came to town on Friday night, the Kenton basketball team hadn’t taken the court for a game since a win over Marion Harding 14 days earlier. Even so, Wildcat mentor Matt McCullough would not use that as an excuse after Defiance dissected his team inside and out on the way to an 72-54 Western Buckeye League win over his team on Friday night.

TOLEDO — Hardin Northern took control early and never looked back as the Lady Polar Bears cruised past Monclova Christian 63-8 on Friday, The Polar Bears cruised to a 27-4 lead after eight minutes and a 38-5 lead by halftime before outscoring the Thunder 18-0 in the third quarter.

Defiance holds off KHS girls

Defiance outscored Kenton in each of the first three quarters to grab an insurmountable lead on the way to a 60-48 victory over the Wildcats in a Western Buckeye League girls basketball game on Thursday night. The visiting Bulldogs led just 13-12 after one quarter before outscoring Kenton 19-11 in the second quarter and 19-9 in the third quarter to take a 51-32 advantage into the final eight minutes.
