BELLEFONTAINE — Bellefontaine outscored Ben Logan in three of the four quarters on the way to a 46-40 boys basketball victory over the Raiders in a Central Buckeye Conference crossover game on Tuesday night. The host Chiefs led 6-4 after eight minutes and 18-13 at halftime.
DOLA — Zoe Chisolm hit six three-pointers and netted 36 points to lead Cory-Rawson to a 62-33 victory over Hardin Northern in a non-league girls basketball game on Tuesday night. The visiting Hornets jumped ahead 15-4 eight minutes into the game and 30-13 by halftime before putting the game away with a 16-6 third quarter advantage.
NEW BREMEN — Host New Bremen had a big first half in pulling away for a 57-27 victory over Upper Scioto Valley in a non-league girls basketball game on Tuesday night. The hosts outscored the Rams 21-8 in the first quarter before going on a 14-0 second quarter run to take a 35-8 halftime lead.
CRIDERSVILLE — The Ada girls defeated Perry for their only victory of the season about a month ago. The Commodores on Tuesday night made sure it wasn’t going to happen twice.
MECHANICSBURG — The Ben Logan girls had trouble finding their shooting touch until it was too late on Monday night. The Raiders managed just 11 points in the first three quarters in falling to host Mechanicsburg 39-24 on Monday night.
The Kenton High School bowling teams defeated Ridgedale on Monday night at Hillcrest Lanes. The Wildcat boys won 1,815-1,569.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — Saturday’s Ridgemont at Riverdale boys basketball contests will be a two quarters of junior varsity game at 6 p.m. followed by the varsity game. The varsity tip-off is anticipated around 6:45pm.
The Ben Logan Middle School girls basketball teams split a pair of games with Jonathan Alder on Monday night. The eighth grade Raiders led 20-2 by halftime on the way to a 36-20 victory.
BLUFFTON — The Kenton Youth Wrestling Team traveled to Bluffton on Sunday, Jan 6th for a Miami Valley Kids Wrestling Association (MVWKA) mini-meet. Wrestlers competed with youth teams from Lima Bath, Lima Shawnee, St. Mary's, Lima Perry, Ada, Delphos Tri-County, Ottawa-Glandorf and Cory Rawson.
The Kenton sixth grade B team lost to Riverdale 20-13 and Allen East 23-6 in the USV league on Sunday. Klayton Schlegel and Bill Wilkinson both had 4 points for Kenton on the day, while Carson DeLong, Trenton DeLong, Bob Wilkinson, Gavin Boyle and Zach Burroughs-Schlegel had 2 points each.
