BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan outscored Bellefontaine in each of the first three quarters to pull away for a 52-36 victory in a Central Buckeye Conference cross-divisional girls basketball matchup on Saturday night.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — A slow start was too much for Riverdale to overcome as the Falcons dropped a 74-51 decision to unbeaten Liberty-Benton in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball contest on Saturday.

Upper Scioto Valley was the only area team to receive a top-two seed as the girls high school sectional tournament pairings were announced on Sunday.

ADA — A slow start proved to be too much for Ada to overcome on Saturday night as the Bulldogs fell to McComb 52-45 in a non-conference boys basketball matchup.

ELIDA — The Kenton Wildcats saw a little more of Elida's Austin Allemeier than they would have liked Friday night. The Elida senior scored 19 points in the first half to give Elida a lead the Wildcats never cut into as the Bulldogs pulled away for a 63-52 victory

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan had a January it would rather forget as a collective boys basketball team. The Raiders lost all eight games they played in the month, including five Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division contests.

DEGRAFF — Upper Scioto Valley held off Riverside 43-41 on Friday night to improve to 15-2 on the season. The Rams, who were paced by Lane Hurley and Cameron Parker’s 16-point efforts, led 14-9 after one quarter and 22-18 at halftime.

BLUFFTON — Ada outscored Bluffton in each of the last three quarters on the way to a 61-51 victory over the host Pirates on Friday night.

VANLUE — Vanlue built a large lead early and then held and coasted through the second half on the way to a 72-50 victory over Hardin Northern in a Blanchard Valley Conference matchup on Friday night.
