COLDWATER — Ada took the lead in the second quarter and then held off Fort Recovery in the fourth quarter for a 53-49 victory in a girls Division IV sectional championship contest on Saturday night.
TIPPECANOE — Ben Logan’s Caleb Houser and Cole Houser claimed championships and seven other Raiders also finished in the top four during Division II sectional wrestling at Tippecanoe High School on Saturday.
CAREY — Riverdale had a pair of sectional champions and two other top four finishes during Division III sectional wrestling action at Carey High School on Saturday.
FINDLAY — The Riverdale girls basketball team struggled to find offensive success Saturday in the Division IV sectional finals against Arcadia at Findlay High School. The Falcons (15-8) failed to reach a double-digit point total in the first half as they fell to Blanchard Valley Conference rival Arcadia, 65-43.

State-ranked Defiance wasted little time asserting its will on Kenton during the Wildcats’ regular season boys basketball finale on Friday night. The visiting Bulldogs, ranked fifth in the final AP Division II poll, used their fullcourt pressure as a spark plug in the first half, jumping out to an 11-3 lead before the game was two minutes old.
ADA — With just over a minute remaining in a tie game Friday night, Ada boys basketball coach Chris Sautter wanted his team to hold the ball for the final shot. The Bulldogs ran the time down to 7.5 seconds when they found senior Levi Bass in the corner.
