McCOMB — McComb scored three times in the first inning and added three more runs in the fourth inning on the way to a 7-0 Blanchard Valley Conference baseball victory over Riverdale on Wednesday.
Van Wert outscored Kenton 9-5 in a Western Buckeye League baseball game on Tuesday night. The Wildcats, who fall to 7-5 on the season and 0-4 in WBL play, led 2-0 after one inning, but could not match the Cougars (9-4, 3-2) the rest of the way.
RIDGEWAY — Hardin Northern scored the final 10 runs Tuesday to pull away for a 16-4 Northwest Central Conference softball victory over Ridgemont. The Polar Bears (9-2, 6-0 NWCC) pounded 20 hits off Ridgemont pitcher Sara McFadden, including three home runs.

ADA — Ada plated six runs in the second inning and added seven more in the fourth frame to pull away for a 16-6 win over Leipsic in a non-league softball matchup on Tuesday afternoon.
DOLA — The Hardin Northern girls track team was second and the Polar Bear boys were third in a tri-meet with McComb and North Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon. North Baltimore won the girls meet with 59 points, followed by Hardin Northern with 54 and McComb with 32.
SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic’s Cole Proffitt limited Upper Scioto Valley to two hits as the Cavaliers pulled away for a 10-0 five-inning victory in a Northwest Central Conference baseball game on Tuesday.
