The Kenton tennis team won all three singles matches on the way to a 4-1 victory over Bellefontaine on Saturday afternoon. Winning for the Wildcats were Jake Abbott, who defeated Tyler Frantz 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles

DOLA — Hardin Northern fell to Van Buren 1-0 Friday night in nonconference softball. Van Buren pushed one unearned run across the plate in the top of the first against Addy Bame.

Dalton Kessler provided the clutch hit when Kenton needed it on Friday and the result was the Wildcats’ first Western Buckeye League victory of the season as they defeated Elida 3-1.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley’s Brittany Holbrook has made her mark on the track as a member of the Ram track team over the past four years. The senior will take her talents to the collegiate level next year as she signed a letter of intent on Thursday to continue her athletic career and education at the University of Tiffin as a Dragon.

BELLEFONTAINE — When Davis Bowers was a sophomore, Ben Logan track coach Kevin Butler needed someone to pole vault at a meet. Butler turned to Bowers and that changed everything.
