BELLEFONTAINE — Aaron Pennington had a lot of success with long throw-ins for the Ben Logan boys soccer team Monday night. Unfortunately for the Raiders (3-6, 0-4 Central Buckeye Conference) that wasn’t enough as they lost 6-3 to Bellefontaine in CBC play.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale gave up an early goal to Mohawk in girls soccer action Monday, but after that it was all Falcons. Mohawk scored about five minutes into the game to take an early lead and then Riverdale scored seven times in a row for a 7-1 victory.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale dominated the first half Saturday against Ashland Crestview in nonconference girls soccer. But the problem for the Falcons was they couldn’t score.
ST. PARIS — Ben Logan finished second Saturday in the boys portion of the Graham Cross Country Invitational. The Raiders missed first place as a team by two points.
OTTAWA — The Kenton girls cross country team placed seventh out of 13 teams Saturday at the Ottawa-Glandorf Invitational. Carrie Morris led the way for the Wildcats, placing 26th out of 127 runners.
CONTINENTAL — Riverdale’s Coltyn Miller and Continental’s Trevor Williamson combined to stop 18 shots as the teams played to a scoreless draw in a non-conference boys soccer match Saturday. Williamson saved all 11 Riverdale shots on goal, and Miller stopped all seven by Continental.

The Kenton Wildcats got off to the quick start they wanted on Friday night, going ahead of St. Marys by 17 points by the midway point of the second quarter. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, they didn’t take advantage of opportunities to add to the lead and the Roughriders put up 35 points on the scoreboard in the second half...
McGUFFEY — Lehman Catholic defeated Upper Scioto Valley each of the last four years in football by a combined score of 131-32. On Friday night, the Rams had something else in mind — a victory over the Cavaliers. That’s exactly what Upper Scioto Valley got, winning 28-20 in Northwest Central Conference football.
WAYNESFIELD — Hardin Northern moved the ball well on the ground and through the air against Waynesfield-Goshen Friday night, resulting in the team’s third win of the season and their first ever in the Northwest Central Conference.
