ADA — Hardin Northern held a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the third inning during the Polar Bears’ sectional baseball game against Ada on Tuesday afternoon.

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenzie Heater had a triple and three RBIs and Tahlsa Bowshier, Kinzie Jones and Kierstynn Terry had two RBIs each as Ben Logan ripped Bellefontaine 11-2 in a Division II softball sectional contest on Tuesday afternoon.

ARLINGTON — Arlington pulled away for a 10-1 victory over Ridgemont in a Division IV sectional softball contest on Tuesday afternoon.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Taylor Farmer had a home run, a double and four RBIs as Riverdale won its 15th softball game of the year, defeating Shelby 10-3 in non-league action on Tuesday afternoon.

WILLIAMSTOWN — Sulphur Lake Campground, located north of Williamstown on U.S. 68, will host a Campers Care 5K Walk/Run at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23.

GRAHAM — The Ben Logan girls track team is in third place after the first day of the Central Buckeye Conference track and field meet at Graham High School on Tuesday. The Raiders, who received a second place finish from Coreen Crosby in the high jump (5 feet), have 15 points with three events completed.

Kenton High School coaches and athletes have long gone out into the community seeking financial support from area businesses and residents to help defray the costs of such things as uniforms, camps and other expenses. In the past each different Wildcat athletic program has raised funds on its own.

Nearly 30 Hardin County youth competed in the annual Soccer Shoot-out sponsored by the Kenton Elks Lodge 157 on Thursday at the YMCA practice fields.

FOREST — The Riverdale Soccer Club will be hosting tryouts for open positions and the possible formation of new teams for the following age groups: U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 for both boys and girls. Tryouts will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 20 at the Riverdale Soccer Complex, 350 West Dixon St., Forest.
