Dilbone, Stamon win Rushsylvania Rockets 5K

Rockets 5K

RUSHSYLVANIA — The 11th annual Rushsylvania Rockets 5K saw Amy Stamon and Chris Dilbone take the top spots in the women's and men's divisions, respectively, Saturday. Stamon was the top female finisher with a time of 23:25, while Dilbone was the top male runner in a time of 19:16.

The fourth annual "Rally for the Cure" ladies golf scramble was held Sunday, July 26 at Memorial Park Golf Course. Sixteen teams participated in this ladies-only scramble to raise money for breast cancer research.

Hensel wins HOJGA division

WALDO — Britton Hensel of Kenton was recognized for being the top golfer this season in the 16-18-year-old division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association at its year-end banquet Thursday night. Hensel scored 93 points – 13 more than runner-up Lucas Haycook of Elgin – to win the David J. Wensinger Player of the Year $2,000 scholarship.
