Raiders topped in four

WEST LIBERTY — Ben Logan dropped its volleyball season opener Tuesday night, falling in four sets to West Liberty-Salem. The Raiders were topped 25-13, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12.

Kenton finishes 2nd at Quest Cup; BL 3rd

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton fell just short Saturday night in the championship game of the boys soccer Quest Cup held at Benjamin Logan High School. West Liberty-Salem led Kenton 2-0 at halftime and held on for a 3-2 win in the title game.

Falcons edged in road opener

OTTAWA HILLS — Riverdale seemed as if it was going to go on the road and earn a draw to start the boys soccer season Saturday night. But Ottawa Hills had different ideas.

Bulldogs win pair

RAWSON — Ada swept a pair of volleyball matches Saturday to open its season. The Bulldogs defeated Waynesfield-Goshen 25-11, 25-11 and topped host Cory-Rawson 25-11, 25-8.

KHS grad makes debut

MONTREAT, N.C. — The University of Rio Grande volleyball team rallied from two sets down to defeat Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Asbury and cap a perfect season-opening day at Friday's Volley in the Mountains Tournament hosted by Montreat College.
