BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan defeated Greenon by 12 strokes Tuesday in Central Buckeye Conference golf action at Liberty Hills. Grant Ricketts shot 36 to lead the Raiders to a 172-184 win.
Ridgemont edged Riverside on Tuesday in a Northwest Central Conference golf match at Memorial Park Golf Course. The Gophers won by three strokes, 178-181.
McGUFFEY — After a hard-fought first set, Ada took control Tuesday in a nonconference volleyball sweep of Upper Scioto Valley. The Bulldogs (4-0) won 25-17, 25-12, 25-10.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s Caitlin Pauley served up an ace for the first point of the night during the Falcons’ volleyball matchup with Carey on Tuesday night. That was the highlight of the night for the Falcons, as the visiting Blue Devils wasted little time in grabbing the momentum, running off the next 10 points and rolling from there on the way to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-18 sweep.
BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan placed fifth in the boys portion of the Benjamin Logan Early Bird Invitational cross country meet on Tuesday night. Leading the way for the Raiders was Cameron Johnson, who placed 11th in 17:24.
WAYNESFIELD — Ridgemont swept Waynesfield-Goshen on Tuesday night in Northwest Central Conference volleyball. The Gophers won 25-13, 25-19, 25-22.
DOLA — Hardin Northern defeated Arcadia on Tuesday in volleyball action. The Polar Bears won in four sets, 25-8, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.
OTTAWA HILLS — Ada dropped a girls tennis match 3-0 to Ottawa Hills on Tuesday as part of the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association tournament. Ottawa Hills won at second and third singles and first doubles before the match was stopped.
