DUNKIRK — Kamryn Dye drove in five runs to help Hardin Northern defeat Upper Scioto Valley 10-6 in Northwest Central Conference softball Friday.

DOLA — Upper Scioto Valley scored six runs in the top of the seventh to pull away from Hardin Northern for a 16-8 Northwest Central Conference baseball victory Friday.

WAPAKONETA — Kenton couldn’t get much offense going Friday as the Wildcats lost 5-0 to Wapakoneta in Western Buckeye League baseball.

BELLEFONTAINE — Indian Lake defeated Ben Logan 11-1 in Central Buckeye Conference baseball Friday.

FOSTORIA — Ada scored four runs in the top of the first inning, but could not hold on for a baseball victory Friday.

Kenton appeared to be in pretty bad shape Thursday afternoon. The Wildcats trailed Riverdale by six runs after the top of the fourth inning in a nonconference softball contest. But Kenton rallied and emerged with a 7-6 victory in eight innings on a walkoff home run by freshman Alivia Purtee.

Kenton defeated Fostoria 4-1 in nonconference boys tennis Thursday. “Fostoria had a lot of first-year players like us,” Kenton coach Keith Kissling said. “We played solid tennis and maintained our level of play.”

CELINA — Kenton got a timely hit and a strong pitching performance Thursday to defeat Celina 2-1 for its first Western Buckeye League baseball win of the season.

TIPP CITY — Ben Logan put 12 runs on the board, but still lost to Tippecanoe on the road in Central Buckeye Conference softball on Thursday.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley scored a run in the first inning and went on to defeat Ridgemont 3-0 in Northwest Central Conference baseball Thursday.
