Hardin Northern Board of Education – 7 p.m., computer lab

A three-ton piece of history was purchased recently by a Hardin County native. The safe in the Erie Street Market in Toledo had made its home at the market for a century, but when the City of Toledo purchased the property, the safe and building were sold to the highest bidder. The purchaser was Charles Prater.

Kenton City Schools will be seeking several new staff members next school year after the school board accepted five retirement resignations at its meeting Monday night.

The former Northwood Elementary School will become an extension of Kenton High School as Ohio Hi-Point Career Center plans to create three satellite programs for high school students at the building.
