DOLA — A mother of a former Hardin Northern student asked permission for her eighth-grade son to participate in the school’s pep band and musical.

For many years, Hardin County has supported a swine banquet, a dairy banquet, a beef banquet and a sheep banquet. This year is its first for an equine banquet to honor those who raise horses.

ADA — A nursing home being constructed on the northwest side of the village received a break from the Ada Village Council on Tuesday night.

Hardin Northern Board of Education – 7 p.m., computer lab

A three-ton piece of history was purchased recently by a Hardin County native. The safe in the Erie Street Market in Toledo had made its home at the market for a century, but when the City of Toledo purchased the property, the safe and building were sold to the highest bidder. The purchaser was Charles Prater.
