Proper display of the flag

At this time of year we remember those who have served our country in the military in ALL wars and branches of service. Groups of people, patriotic or otherwise, will be going into all local cemeteries to place U.S. flags at each grave site of a veteran and this would include thousands of graves.

Turbines would be a nuisance

To those who are really concerned. I saw on the front page of the Kenton Times an article, Mr. Cross calls for the county task force to address eyesores, nuisances! Although the article was about something different, it may be close to the same thing I am concerned about.

Dispose of trash at own house

My letter may make no difference concerning people who walk by your house or drive by your house and throw their unwanted trash in yards that we are trying to keep clean. Imagine you are disabled in some way or another physically and you have to go out with a bag and pick up someone’s unwanted trash that they have discarded in your yard.

More respect, less violence

Last week a disturbing video of a twelve-year-old girl, Janissa Valdez, being body slammed by a Texas school police officer was released on the Internet. This shocking video spread rapidly through the Internet causing investigations to ignite.

Veterans invited to join VFW

To the editor: Wanted – a few good men and women who have served overseas in combat situations or in support of our troops to join a great and prestigious organization called the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6817 of Mt. Victory, Ohio.

Say yes to sharing gift of life

To the editor: One choice can create a wide ripple of change, much like the decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor. Each time an individual is able to generously share the gift of life: a person is healed; a family is preserved; a friendship is extended; and the world is changed forever.
