For those who may not have seen the original article in the Kenton Times, dated July 18, 2017, the Hardin County Veterans are having a booth at the Hardin County Fair this year. It will be located in the Merchants Building.

Recently, two Democratic candidates to represent Hardin County (District 5) in the U.S. House of Representatives spoke in Ada, at a meeting of AHEAD (Allen and Hardin for Election Action and Democracy), a local citizen group.

To the editor: Dear Kenton community, We don’t know where to begin to say thank you to all the members of the community that have provided us with the needed necessities since the loss of our home on July 25 due to a fire.

To the editor: I wonder how many people in Hardin County really comprehend what a wonderful resource the Hardin County Family YMCA is to those of us who live and work here.

The William Britton V.F.W. Post 6817 and Auxiliary would like to say a big "Thank you" to the three groups of youth that assist us with Memorial Day activities.

To the editor: I’d like to share a little about the Hardin County Family YMCA. It has helped me personally to get a better handle on being healthy.

Summer is here and so is the time for Red Cross swimming lessons! As in past years the Ada Learn To Swim Program is in need of aides to assist with the lessons.

I sincerely thank the voters of the Ada School District for their support and giving me the privilege of serving on your school board for the past eight years. Having taught in the Ada schools for thirty-one years and serve as a board member for eight, thank you for all the blessing.

As a child growing up my brother, sister and I was at the William Britton V.F.W. No. 6817 Post Home a lot. I remember seeing Santa Claus at a party for all of the children of the members of the V.F.W. and its Auxiliary.

My husband and I feel compelled to say that we spent a wonderful evening May 13 chaperoning Hardin County 6th, 7th and 8th graders at a Dance Party at the Kenton YMCA hosted by Lodge 157 of the Elks. This was Julie Crowe’s final year as the host of the event and she left no stone unturned.
