It is amazing to see the vicious attacks perpetrated on the true, new conservative candidates by the establishment conservatives, through the so called Conservative Alliance PAC. They are pouring thousands of dollars into these untrue advertisements because they do not want to lose control, money and power to someone who would actually represent the people.
This May 8, Ohioans have a rare chance to make our elections more fair. Issue 1 would create a bipartisan approach to drawing congressional voting districts.
Cheryl Buckland will be an excellent State Representative for the Ohio 83rd District. I’ve known for over 30 years that she is hard working, intelligent, compassionate and fully dedicated to whatever endeavor she takes on.
April 24, 2018, I had the privilege to accompany three Upper Scioto Valley Ohio Hi-Point teams and their advisor, Dustin Price, to the Skills Knowledge Bowl State Competition. This leveled 7-12 competition included vocational schools statewide.
To the editor: Historically in Ohio the law provided that each county in the state elected from its residents a member to the State Legislature. The law was changed for the election of legislators in the 1960s and by virtue of that fact the last resident of Hardin County to hold this office was in 1967 when Dale McElree served as our county representative.

I am frankly perplexed by Jon Cross’s outrage about PACs. If you check the internet (sdrostra.com) you will find that Mr. Cross was named as the Executive Director of the San Diego New Majority PAC on 5/6/11.
With all the political horseplay by Jon Cross and his supporters it is time to set the record straight. Cheryl Buckland is now, and will always be a strong supporter of what Kenton, Findlay, Hardin, and Hancock County needs in a leader.
Still undecided on how to vote on the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center 0.6-mill permanent improvement levy? Well let me ask you this, is $.062 cents per day, which is $0.43 cents per week, too much to ask for the future of our students from Kenton, Ridgemont and Upper Scioto Valley Schools?
What have the people of the 83rd House District done so wrong that they deserve candidates like Jon Cross and Cheryl Buckland? How dumb do Cross and Buckland think we are?
