The Hardin County Safety Council is one of more than 80 across the state that partner with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to promote the importance of workplace safety. We at BWC work closely with the council and member employers in Hardin County and we are always impressed.

I am writing in support of the Ada Exempted Village Schools’ 2.9 mill permanent improvement levy that will face the Ada voters on November 6, 2018. As a renewal tax, this five-year levy is not a new tax nor a tax increase.

Former President Obama said recently that “the biggest threat to Democracy is indifference.” According to the web, Indifference is a noun meaning lack of interest, concern or sympathy. When I wake up in the morning and listen to the news, I find myself shaking my head with a visceral (deep-felt response) when attempting to make sense of our current world.

On November 6, 2018 Ohio voters will be faced with a constitutional amendment otherwise known as State Issue 1, entitled “The Neighborhood Safety, Drug Treatment, and Rehabilitation Amendment.” Hardin County voters should not be fooled that this will aid in community safety, drug treatment or rehabilitation efforts.
