Word for the day: Dealing with change

As you can imagine I am writing this Word of the Day on a computer, which is nothing special since that is how write these days. But it carries an annoying challenge with which we have to deal every time software companies decide that we need to upgrade to new Windows or a new word-processing program.

Orders accepted for 2016 Forest calendar

FOREST — Orders are being accepted for the 2016 Forest Community Calendar, a mission project sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Forest. Calendar listings, including birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, in service/branch and organization meeting dates.

County fair champion carcasses evaluated

Meat discussion

The Hardin County Carcass Show of Champions was held Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Mt. Victory Meats. A group of adults and young people were on hand to hear judge and OSU Assistant Professor of Meat Science Lyda Garcia and OSU Meats Judging Coach Trey Garza discuss the merits of the winning animal carcasses from the 2015 Hardin County Fair.

FSR panel to discuss water quality

COLUMBUS -- Water quality will be the focus of a Sept. 22 panel presentation of economists and researchers with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University, who will discuss programs and practices designed to lessen the potential of farm runoff into region’s waterways.
