As Hardin County farmers prepare for another spring planting, crop yields from the 2014 growing season have been released from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service. Although these crop production numbers are based on estimates, they are used for crop insurance and government reporting purposes.

ADA — A team of robotic football players created by students from Ohio Northern University’s T.J. Smull College of Engineering will compete in the annual University of Notre Dame robotic football competition on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Ohio Northern University King Horn Sports Center.

MARION — The Marion Palace Theatre will stage the musical comedy, “Nunsense,” for three performances on the theater’s main stage on April 17, 18 and 19.

BLUFFTON — Tickets are available for the final performance in the 2014-15 Bluffton University Artist Series, by husband-and-wife illusionists Kevin and Cindy Spencer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9.

MARION — Casey Abrams, the season 10 standout finalist, impressed American Idol audiences each week with his mastery of instruments -- most notably, the stand-up bass. Abrams will take the Marion Palace stage on Saturday, May 2 at 8 p.m.

FOREST — Diamond Dave and Keen Services DJ and Karaoke will be featured at Crazy Lady Restaurant in Forest on Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to close.

The Hardin County Regional Planning Commission meeting slated for tonight has been moved to Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in Veteran’s Hall at the courthouse.

The deadline for voter registration to be eligible to vote in the May 5, 2015 primary/special election is Monday, April 6.
