Supporters of a plan to transform a Kenton city park into a campgrounds for veterans packed the City Council chambers Monday evening. The Kenton City Council’s finance committee is recommending council approve additional funding for several projects, but its chairman cautioned about drawing a line on spending for the remainder of the year.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Beginning next year at Riverdale High School, students will be able to choose certain semester-long classes. High School Guidance Counselor Michelle Cundiff highlighted some of the new classes being offered to students for the 2015-2016 school year, including drama, film and documentaries, mythology, author studies, a new weightlifting class and web page design.

The Victory Jamboree scheduled for Tuesday in Mount Victory has been canceled.
