Hardin County area high school junior and senior girls met at the Inn At Ohio Northern Friday to network with young women their own age and to learn from women leaders from through out the county.

A vehicle owned by Alfred W. Moon, 503 S. Patterson St., Forest, was parked in the lot at Kroger when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. The unknown driver left the scene. Moon did not notice the damage until a later time.

Members of the Kenton Police Department and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office were honored this week by the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association for going beyond their regular jobs.

Hardin Memorial Hospital has recently updated its technology with a new mammography system and made improvements to its mammography suite.

MOUNT VICTORY — The Ridgemont school board approved a number of routine issues during its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon. The board approved the purchase of a 2016 Chevrolet 9-passenger multi-purpose van from Cardinal Bus Sales at a cost of $43,326.

Hardin Northern’s Awakened Commotion will perform at “Jazz in the Fall” at Upper Sandusky High School’s “Little Theater” on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. Members of the group include David Allen, Rylie Bame, Sebastian Bejarano, Mariah Burton, Cassidy Deckling, Maddie Grappy, Grace King, Garrett Eikenbary and Clair Wilson.

LIMA — Grammy nominated blue collar comedian, Bill Engvall, will perform two stand-up comedy shows in Lima for Valentine’s Day on Feb. 11, 2017 at 5 and 8 p.m. Tickets for the shows at the Veteran’s Memorial Civic and Convention Center went on sale to the public today.
