MOUNT VICTORY — When the Ridgemont Gopher girls basketball team played the Delaware Christian Eagles last week at home, some special guests were heartily cheering them on in their victory.

FOREST — The village of Forest is taking initial steps to address one of the largest nuisance properties in the town. Known locally as the Old Trailer Factory, the series of buildings has set vacant for many years.

ADA — Because of inclement weather leading to school cancellations this winter, students in the Ada School District will be making up at least one extra day of class in March.

ADA — Tara Griffith will continue to lead the Ada Board of Education. During the board’s reorganizational meeting Thursday night, Griffith was elected by the board to continue her role as board president. Dr. Amy Mullins was selected as vice president.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Board of Education re-elected Anne Reames and Bill Ramsey as president and vice president, respectively, at its meeting Wednesday night.

An unwanted female was reported at 122 N. Market St.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office’s latest weapon on the war on crime gives deputies eyes in the sky. A drone for the department was purchased by members of the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS).
