COLUMBUS — Johnny Steiner, a favorite entertainer throughout central Ohio, will once again hit the stage at his college alma mater, Otterbein University. On August 3 and 4, Steiner will perform a concert called XLV. It will feature a program from the Great American Songbook and golden age of pop music.

The 38 singer-dancers comprising Kenton High School’s show choir Top Twenty will be embracing their inner bad guy during this year’s set. “Antagonist” is the theme for the 2019-20 Top Twenty group, with a lineup of songs that will show the performers developing and embracing an evil character.

FINDLAY – The Youtheatre’s Summer Performing Arts Camp production of Robin Hood is on Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, located at 200 W. Main Cross St., Findlay.

MARION – More than 70 individuals will take the stage in the production of “The Music Man” July 13-July 21 at the historic Marion Palace Theatre. Directed by Clare Cooke, the musical comedy will be performed on five show dates: Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.; Friday, July 19 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 21 at 2 p.m.

Mary Poppins Jr. will be presented this weekend by children participating in the annual summer theatre workshop sponsored by the Hardin County Players.

FINDLAY — Marathon Center for the Performing Arts released its fifth season line-up. The 2019/2020 season begins in September and runs through June of 2020. It features two spotlight shows.

The Lima Symphony Orchestra has announced the eight finalists vying for the position of music director for the Lima Symphony Orchestra. The LSO Search Committee, composed of LSO musicians, the choral director, board members and community representatives, have narrowed down these eight from a field of over 120 highly qualified international applicants. Each of the final eight will be featured in Lima Symphony Orchestra’s “Focus Forward” season and spend a week in Lima not only rehearsing and conducting the orchestra in concert, but also doing in-school visits, children’s programming at the library and more as they audition for the community at large.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Star Players, Inc. of Upper Sandusky invite interested singers, dancers, and actors ages 6 through adult to open auditions for their summer musical production, Disney and Cameron McIntosh’s Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical.
