Eight finalists named to vie for post of music director of Lima Symphony The Lima Symphony Orchestra has announced the eight finalists vying for the position of music director for the Lima Symphony Orchestra. The LSO Search Committee, composed of LSO musicians, the choral director, board members and community representatives, have narrowed down these eight from a field of over 120 highly qualified international applicants. Each of the final eight will be featured in Lima Symphony Orchestra’s “Focus Forward” season and spend a week in Lima not only rehearsing and conducting the orchestra in concert, but also doing in-school visits, children’s programming at the library and more as they audition for the community at large.
