MOUNT BLANCHARD — The first ever Heritage Day Festival in the Village is planned in Mount Blanchard on Saturday, Aug. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting through fireworks that evening.

A day of music, food and family fun is planned at the annual St. John’s Cruise-In Concert planned for 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday in the parking lots south of the church on Carrol Street. The featured band is Hawk Nelson, who will perform from 8:45-10 p.m.

FOREST — The 2016 Tree Town Festival is slated July 8, 9, and 10 in Gormley Park located on Mary Street in Forest. The festival is sponsored by the Forest Fire Department and Jackson Forest Emergency Medical Service.

ADA — Join the Lima Symphony Orchestra for a free community concert on Saturday, July 2 at 7 p.m. on the campus of Ohio Northern University, Ada. This fun-filled family event will feature patriotic music, movie classics, popular tunes and a tribute to our armed services.

Willy Wonka Kids, a production of the Hardin County Players' Children's Summer Theatre Workshop, will be presented Friday and Saturday nights at the Kenton Middle School auditorium. Show time is 7:30 p.m. both days. Tickets, $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, will be available at the auditorium. Students are admitted free.

ADA – The Lima Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Independence Day with a “Patriotic Pops” concert on the campus of Ohio Northern University on Saturday, July 2 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

FOREST — The Tree Town Festival in Forest will hold the Twelfth Annual Classic Car and Truck Show on Friday, July 8 in Gormley Park.

MARION — Terry Lee Goffee will bring The "Ultimate" Johnny Cash Tribute to the Marion Palace Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. as part of the Marion Popcorn Festival. As with all festival entertainment, this show is a free concert.
