MARION — The Marion Palace Theatre will offer theatre-goers a diverse entertainment schedule to please audience members of all ages and interests this winter.

FOREST — The village of Forest will celebrate their second annual Charlie Brown Christmas on Sunday. The day begins will a soup and salad lunch at the Forest-Jackson Library, followed by the start of bidding on baskets in a silent auction, also at the library.

Murder in Bloom, a mystery-comedy, will be presented next month in a dinner theater format by the community theater group, the Hardin County Players. It will be staged at the Kenton Elks, and dinner and the show will cost $20.

Hardin Northern’s Awakened Commotion will perform at “Jazz in the Fall” at Upper Sandusky High School’s “Little Theater” on Saturday starting at 7 p.m. Members of the group include David Allen, Rylie Bame, Sebastian Bejarano, Mariah Burton, Cassidy Deckling, Maddie Grappy, Grace King, Garrett Eikenbary and Clair Wilson.

LIMA — Grammy nominated blue collar comedian, Bill Engvall, will perform two stand-up comedy shows in Lima for Valentine’s Day on Feb. 11, 2017 at 5 and 8 p.m. Tickets for the shows at the Veteran’s Memorial Civic and Convention Center went on sale to the public today.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will present its 121st performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Music Department will present an instrumental ensembles concert at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 in the Presser Hall Snyder Recital Hall. The concert will feature the flute choir and flute quartet under the direction of faculty member Erin Torres, percussion ensemble and steel drum band under the direction of faculty member Renee Keller, string ensemble under the direction of faculty member Florin Simioanca and a presentation of Aaron Copland's chamber work, “As it Fell Upon a Day,” featuring Jordan Loyd, senior music performance major.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University will host its Holiday Concert featuring the concert band and several instrumental ensembles at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

ADA — The Ohio Northern University men’s and women’s choruses will be in concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in the Presser Hall Snyder Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

ADA — The Ada High School Marching Band earned an ‘excellent” rating at the OMEA Marching Band Contest held Friday, Nov. 4 at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium in Brunswick with its Toy Story themed show "To Infinity.”
