LIMA — American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter, Jeremy Camp, will perform in concert, Sunday, Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m. on the main stage at the 2017 Allen County Fair. Allen County Fair General Manager, Bob Fricke says this will be a change of pace from the traditional fair concert offerings.

ADA -- The Lima Symphony Orchestra will again celebrate Independence Day in Ada with a “Patriotic Pops” concert at 7 p.m. today on the campus of Ohio Northern University. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be held on the sculpture mall east of McIntosh Center between Presser and Weber halls.

Stars Go Dim will be the headline Christian band to be featured at the Celebrate Freedom event on Tuesday, the Fourth of July, at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. The free grandstand concert, organized by Shine FM, will begin at 5 p.m. It also will include Christian artists Adelaide and JJ Weeks Band. It is part of the Celebrate Freedom festivities at the fairgrounds from noon to 10 p.m., when the event closes with fireworks.

The African Savannah comes to life this weekend in Kenton in the production of “The Lion King Kids” by participants in the Hardin County Players Children's Summer Theatre Workshop. The Disney classic will be staged in the Kenton Middle School auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

LIMA — The annual “Concert in the Garden” featuring the Lima Area Concert Band is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 in Lima. The free concert will be presented in the Children’s Garden on the campus of the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima.

FOREST — The Tree Town Festival in Forest will hold the Thirteenth Annual Classic Car and Truck Show on Friday, July 7 in Gormley Park. Registration will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the entry fee is $10 per vehicle with checks being payable to the Tree Town Festival.

ADA — A Michigan attorney-turned-musician with a huge YouTube following will perform free in Ada on Thursday, June 22. The performance by Matthew Ball, also known as “The Motor City Boogie Woogie Kid,” is set for 11 a.m. at the Ada Community Health Professionals building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

LIMA — Styx, the band from Chicago that rose to top-hit status in the 1970s and early 1980s with songs that included "Lady," "Come Sail Away" and "Blue Collar Man," will perform Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Veteran Memorial Civic & Convention Center.

The Wall-Spirit of America Story will be a featured item this weekend at the Logan Hills Festival in Zanesfield in Logan County. The Wall will be on display May 28-29.
