ADA – The University Singers of Ohio Northern University will present a concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24 in the Presser Hall recital hall on campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Ada’s Varsity Singers opened the swing choir show Sunday afternoon at the grandstand of the 2017 Hardin County Fair. A crowd of 786 attended the concert which also featured singers from Hardin Northern, Kenton High School and Middle School, Ridgemont and Riverdale.
ADA — The Ohio Northern Symphony is expanding its scope to reach members of the regional community and provide opportunities for talented musicians to play in an orchestra. There are openings for all string instruments, oboe, horn and trombone performers.
ADA — Ohio Northern University will hold children’s auditions for the “Holiday Spectacular” at 1 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the campus’ Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Auditions will be held for singers and dancers, ages 5 to 12.
The 104th edition of the Farmers and Merchants Picnic is set for Saturday at War Memorial Park in Ada.
It is a tradition for there to be a summer celebration at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kenton. When the Sisters of Charity nuns were operating the San Antonio Hospital in the 1950s, they came up with a fundraiser called Lawn Fete which earned dollars for the operation of the hospital, said Dr. Kate Johnson.
NASHVILLE – One of country music’s new stars, Dustin Lynch, will bring his signature performance to the Allen County Fair in Lima on Aug. 19. The concert, with Neal McCoy, will begin at 8 p.m. in the grandstand.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Star Players, Inc. invite interested singers, dancers, and actors to open auditions for their autumn musical production, Shrek the Musical, Monday and Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., at The Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Avenue in Upper Sandusky.
